WEEK 29: January 13, 2020

Wow i can’t believe it’s been a week since my last email!  This week flew by!  This week was another week full of rain, and ended with a pile of wet shoes and socks!

Last Sunday the bishop asked me to speak on the impact of missionary work, and the concept of a church that changes with time, I prepared a great talk, arrived Sunday and saw the Stake president, sitting at the pulpit, ready to speak!  Maybe next week...

This week the bishop here in Vacaria wanted to visit a lot of the less active people in the branch with us, so we spent a lot of time with him this week teaching about the importance of going to church every week, and how important the covenants they made are.

This week I spent a ton of time studying doctrine and covenants, specifically section 76 about the plan of salvation.  Reading more about where we are going after this life, and where we were before this life, really helps us understand why we are here, and what we need to do in our short time on earth.

I don't have any fun or stories to tell this week, but we did try and teach some policemen in the city center when they were on lunch break, and took this picture, they didn't seem amused or interested, but accepted a pamphlet about the restoration and said they'd read it.

This week very well could be my last week in Vacaria, so i gotta make the most of it.  I’ll have a great story ready for ya next week.  Thanks for reading.
