WEEK 71: October 26, 2020 (16 Months)

Well these last two weeks have been good!! Elder Jones and I had the chance to go to the Lubbock temple to receive his endowments which was such a cool experience! Elder Jones' parents flew down to go through the temple with him and overall it was super cool to meet them and watch them go through the temple as a family! (even though it did make me miss mine a little bit haha).

Other than that, this week was pretty full of lessons falling through, investigators not showing up to church... And people ghosting us! Which is not fun, so we mixed it up last week and went and stayed at our member's hotel in Santa Rosa! It was awesome. We made some good contacts and had the chance to hand out some pass-a-long cards! (First time doing that in forever haha). It was cool and it brought back some memories from Brasil! Other than that, this week it snowed here!! It was super weird cause I was under the impression that it rarely snowed here... Much less in October! I was glad to have a truck driving an hour to Walmart this morning!

From Our Conversation:
They met up with the other missionaries covering Santa Rosa and volunteered at an animal shelter. Later, they found a stray kitten and put it in the other elders’ garage so it wouldn’t freeze to death and took it to the animal shelter in the morning. Andrew was very tempted to take it back to his double wide so it could hunt down all the mice in their house, but not only is he very allergic but it’s definitely against the rules.

The next transfer this coming week sees about 15 missionaries going home and 45 coming! They are bursting at the seams!!
