WEEK 63: August 31, 2020

Another week in the boonies of New Mexico!! This week was pretty uneventful, but we did have two great things happen!  We had a lesson with Isha (her kids were baptized last week) and if everything goes to plan she will be baptized on this upcoming Sunday which will be awesome!!  And we did another car wash!  It was super duper hot, but it was good to take a trip to Clovis and hang out with my buddies.  We banked a bunch of referrals for the Clovis elders too, which hopefully will lead to some new people for them to teach!

We have our zone conference tomorrow in Roswell, which I'm super excited for!  Overall, another solid week for the books.  Love you all!!

From our conversation:

  • Andrew and his companion do a little “Come Follow Me” presentation each Sunday night at 7pm for their branch on Facebook Live.
  • Isha wants to be baptized on Sunday in the same river her kids were baptized in last week, the Pecos River. SO exciting!
  • Andrew has had to cut his own hair lately because all the hair salons are still closed.  Luckily, his companion cut the back for him.
  • The missionaries serve at the local community food bank on a regular basis and sometimes the food bank gives the missionaries extra food.  They ended up with a 10 pound pork roast which Andrew cooked.  It miraculously turned out really good.
  • The elders in the next area over had their garage broken into and their bikes stolen!  Bikes are hot commodities lately!!
