WEEK 62: August 24, 2020 (About 14 months)

Another week!

This week was Awesome!!  Definitely one of the best weeks of my mission!  The week started out with district council.  I led a discussion about how to adjust our teaching style to specific people.  It was great!  Afterward, we took a district trip to the Clovis Zoo!!  It was a pretty lame zoo to be honest but it was a nice change. haha.

Later that night, we had a youth activity.  We had two boys show up that we had taught a few months ago.  I decided to talk to them and try and schedule a time to teach them and their mother!  We marked a lesson on Thursday with their whole family, and we talked about the importance of baptism and we read 2 Nephi 31 (awesome chapter!!). And we decided to challenge them to be baptized that upcoming Saturday!  They accepted!  We worked our butts off to get the ready, and they were baptized in a little river in Fort Sumner! The pictures look a little bit like a third world country... But I promise it was prettier in person!!  It was such a spiritual experience and Benjamin and Lusion (14 and 9) are super excited about their decision to be baptized!!  Their mother is excited to work with us to be baptized in the next few weeks!

Funny story, Benjamin and Lusion were walking to church on Sunday, and they found a $100 bill on the ground....  Hahaha. They were so stoked that they came and showed me and said, "We are already being blessed!"  I confirmed that fact and taught them a lesson about tithing.  It was rad!

Little bit of bad news, the Tacoma got a flat tire, which means part of our P-day was spent putting the spare on.  We gotta head over to Clovis to get a new tire put on. It's alright tho, it's a good excuse to hang out with the Elders in Clovis!

Thanks for reading!!
