WEEK 26: December 23, 2019 (6 Months!)

Multi-zone Christmas Conference
Elder Hammond and Elder Barbosa

Another week!!
This week was pretty good!!  it was a lot of traveling, and a little bit of a break from the usual routine! This week we had a Conference for Christmas!  We took a bus out to Lages, and met with like 60 missionaries from my area!   It was super awesome, and I enjoyed meeting the missionaries that have less time in the mission than me (makes me feel farther in the mission haha)  We had a talent show, lunch, and then President of the mission gave us a talk about obedience.

We got home Saturday, just in time for our Christmas party here in the branch of Vacaria!  I've got a story for ya... we were told to go early and help set up chairs, so being obedient missionaries, we arrived an hour early.  We walked inside, and immediately I started smelling smoke... we walked down the hallway to see smoke billowing out of one of the classrooms the back of the chapel.  I ran swung open the door to see the first and second counselor barbecuing inside the classroom!!!  Panicking i asked what the heck they were doing, they answered that they thought it was going to rain.... then i took a picture.  Church on Sunday had a pretty strong scent of barbecue during sacrament meeting...
What the what?  Barbecuing inside the church!

Finished the week scheduling the baptism of Estefanie this Saturday!  Should be great just hoping everything goes as planned!

If you haven't seen the new video of the birth of Christ, you should watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXWoKi5x3lw

Matching Christmas ties for Christmas from Mom and Dad

From our conversation:
  • All his shoes are already worn out.  Not sure how that happened so fast.  So FYI, buy Doc Martin's.  Apparently they last longer.
  • He is dealing with an ingrown toenail now.  His first companion had one while they were together and Andrew would really like to NOT have the procedure done to correct it - the "doctor" pulls the toenail off without any pain-killers. Ouch!
